Everyone in Sydney (and their dog) should be watching Winx race this April.
Winx, now officially the ‘World’s Best Racehorse’, will be racing in Sydney this April for the last time until spring, chasing the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Stakes. If you aren’t already attending, do what you need to do now to rearrange your schedule. Seriously. Chances to be part of racing history don’t come around too often, and if she wins again (which is highly likely), it will be her 17th straight victory since May 2015.
Winx is one of those amazing race horses that only comes around every so often, like Phar Lap or Black Caviar. Some go as far as saying she’s better than Black Caviar. Of her 26 overall races, 20 have been wins (and three have been seconds). It’s little wonder this bay mare inspires imaginations!
Crowds are expected to swell at Royal Randwick to watch Winx chase yet another victory. The atmosphere is guaranteed to have that magical electric buzz that comes about when a group of people are united by enthusiasm and positivity for a common cause. Last week at Rosehill Gardens punters endured the rain to stand at the barriers and watch her in the China Horse Club George Ryder, and she didn’t disappoint them.
Come and see race in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Sydney’s most prestigious day of racing . Just don’t expect to make much if you win a bet on her!
