The bites on the menu at 2017 Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival.
The 2017Brisbane Racing Carnival is a gourmet food fest of fine dining and casual al fresco delights. Two of Brisbane favourite restaurants in particular are stepping up to the job of catering for race goers across the carnival, from Birdcage to General Admission (Hint, they both begin with ‘M’).
Stradbroke Plaza Precinct
This year, Stradbroke Plaza Precinct will be the non-exlusive marquee experience accessible to all patrons who walk through the gate. In the precinct, punters will find themselves overwhelmed with a field day of pop up restaurants and bars selling tempting edible wares from all angles. Montrachet and Moo Moo will be leading the charge on this front. Defiant Duck will be joining in for UBET Stradbroke Day, and Gold Coast restaurant Rivea Italian will be popping up on all three Eagle Farm race days. As if this wasn’t enough, there’ll also be a fish and chippery supplying race goers with salty battered goodness all day long.
As for (refreshingly cold) beverages, again you’re spoilt for choice. Only the best French champagne brand Moët and Chandon will be in attendance to look after your all your needs. Summer Bright and XXXX Gold will be popping up, as will Sirromet wines in an old school caravan. Their spritzers are something you’ll want in hand throughout the day.
What’s going on inside the Birdcage? A whole lotta heaven from Moo Moo. Guests will receive freshly shucked oysters, wagyu and pork belly bites, lamb with organic polenta and parmesan, pastries and Australian cheeses. Is it too late to try to sneak onto a VIP list?
Montrachet are planning a similarly delicious multi-course feast for those who’ve booked the exclusive Tote Room lunch at Eagle Farm. Lucky attendees can excpect an onslaught of seafood, duck, French cheeses and hand-made brioche.
